Short Stories, the Format

Tracing Echoes tells short stories that linger. Things that happened. To me, because of me, around me. People, emotions, mistakes, smiles, weird little moments that I found meaning in. I don’t wrap them into five lessons though or tell you what you’re supposed to learn. I’m no guru. You just get the story. What it means is yours.

Seasons, the Timeline

Tracing Echoes moves in seasons. One season, one theme, twelve stories. I get interested in something, usually like crazy. I think about it, I live it, I remember things. Some of it turns into stories. Each season ends eventually and something else gets its turn. The theme changes. The writing doesn’t. My style doesn’t either.

Season One · Leaders. This is where it all started. Work, power, trust, ego, fear, careers, decisions and people trying very hard to look professional. Twelve stories from years spent somewhere inside corporate life.

Season Two · Backpacks. Let’s see where that leads us.

Beyond, the Second Layer

The original stories stay complete. No chopped-off endings or any “pay to find out what happened.”

BEYOND is different.

I explore three things beyond every story. In Season Two, it’s EARTH around the story. The HUMANS inside it. And MY TAKE. What I actually think about all of it. Personal photos, painful emotions, hard questions, things I learned too late.

In the story, I’m a character. In Beyond, I’m just me. Today. Doubts, hopes, beliefs, vulnerability. All of it.

Author, that’s Me

An About page is also supposed to introduce me, I guess. I already did that once and turned it into an entire article. My career, my family, Muay Thai, travelling, fantasy books, arrogance, fear, a rainbow PC, an eighteen-year-old plant and some carefully selected vulnerability. A very non-normal introduction.

My Armor Is Made of Fresh Air

If you really want to know more about me, this article is the better place to start.
